I am willing to pay the additional tax that citizens of Illinois have been subjected to, but I expected to actually make progress as a result. It is clear that is not happening currently. I didn’t like Brady and I am beginning to like Quinn less. Have you any aspirations to run for Governor? We certainly could use someone that has actual integrity AND effectiveness. Is anyone on the horizon with a clue that you know about? I need some hope for the economic future of Illinois, without just kicking the can down the road to the next generations.

Facing Fiscal Reality
Earlier this year, we introduced a plan to get Illinois' back on the right track.
Unless we take major steps immediately to curb government spending, Illinois is going to face a $22 billion deficit in five years time. That’s a figure that nobody – not even the Governor’s Office – has disputed. The plan we put forth today, while difficult, puts Illinois firmly on the path of the fiscal discipline that’s been sorely lacking in Springfield during the past decade.
